During my production I had realised that I am familiar with cameras and video production equipment ,but not as confident with knowing how to use sound equipment only and platforms for it such as garage band. In the images bellow, I was testing the quality and my understanding on how to use my equipment that I will need for my podcast. This unit 14 and 16, conducting and creating foley sounds has helped and given me an advantage in my understanding on how to use them
I had to record people talking and conversating to see if other peoples slight actions like clicking and typing on the keyboard and even walking around to see how much the microphone and audio will pick up on the background sounds.
Here I had done the same thing just with a different type of voice recorder which is the main microphone i had used when conducting my audio podcast
Here is a show of the stages I went through in order to turn my audio into an MOV in order to upload this onto my YouTube. I Have to go onto Mater file and check that my settings are correct including the video codes settings. This then leads to waiting for the audio on final cut pro to turn into an MOV in order to upload on YouTube.
After conducting my focus group, i had realised that the audio was terrible due to the fact the windows were open and it was after school time, so next time I am to record any sort of content that involves non diegetic sound I will use a microphone or voice recorder of some sort. Due to my radio audio being a podcast i did not feel the need to record audio or sound that will be imported on my podcast as my audio is a conversation based on a Q and A.
This is for unit 14 and 16
