Location recce:
For my podcast, I have chosen the school media classroom because all the accessories that will be required in the podcast will be there. For example, the computers and the professional microphones. Also, the correct software to film the audio. The computers that the school media classroom has is iMacs which is very beneficial for my voice overs and what I need to edit my audio. I am using this location for my podcast because it is easily to access the equipment and I wouldn’t need to go all locations to finish it off. It saves me time which makes it quicker to upload my audio onto the iMac and edit the podcast in one time. My podcast only requires 3 actors/characters which is two hosts and one psychologist. I will need to film this in a studio like setting, which in my opinion the media class is the best option. A positive thing about filming in the media class is that I will be able to film all 3 of the characters in 1 location. Another positive factor is that the media room is quiet so while I record there will be no background sound to ruin the podcast. Overall, I chose this place as the environment portrays the setting I want as the things I’d need is all there and it suits my script because its calming and a quiet place just as if we were in a studio filming a real podcast.
