Sound elements production report on experimenting and producing sound:

Foley effects: 

Foley effects is natural sounds that are made for a film. To make it sound realistic and make the audiences live it like its them in the moment. Little details like walking, opening a wrapper or even lifting up a phone from the table. For example, in Harry potter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTChQ6-yw7s this is a short scene of a character running up, down and jumping on the staircase. By adding this sound effect, it allows the action to be enhanced. This means it allows the audience to hear clearly what the action is that is happening. Which can allow the audience to feel as if they’re watching and listening to her footsteps as she runs down the stairs.

Wild tracks:

Wild tracks are used in films to make the extra sounds come out clear. For example, whilst recording the dialogue and there is sound that is preventing it to come out clear. This allows it to come out clear and smoothly. For example, The Hunger Games https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPnXmTa68ro the wild track in this clip is the fast movements of the arrow getting fired through the wind.

Theme music for title sequence:

Theme music for the title sequence gives the film a tone. Which allows the scene The theme music in the sequence helps the audience to understand who is coming next. For example, in Finding Nemo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8bUip6Ebh8 this is a short scene of the theme music representing the entrance of Darla.

 

Film score:

Film score is a theme song going along with the film. Which is similar to theme music and it helps with creating mood. In a film the music the music that gets played in the background is a way of the director explaining its feeling to the audience. For example, Fast and Furious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KnFcsSIzbg&t=68s which allows the audience to emphasise what’s happening in the film.

 

Voiceover:

Voice overs is when you record audio of someone speaking. There are several ways of voice overs being used. Moreover, voice overs in films are used to give awareness to the audience about the characters inner thoughts and adds a backstory. For example, in Money Heist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFQGdoGQGsI in this clip the voice over of Tokyo explaining that the plan hasn’t worked as they thought of it. This also gave incite to the audience of what is going on.
